    Where the sun shines every day and the wind and dust keeps your skin wonderfully exfoliated.  We Carnarvonites think grass is totally overrated and if you want to become a real golfer then come and play on our course.  We used to claim we had the largest sand bunker in the world, encompassing about 80% of our fairways, but in recent years the club has begun grassing quite a number of fairways. Our super slow greens rate at 0.5 on the Stimpmeter and unlike the bunker, require raking before and after putting.  Madness, you say.  Crazy, I hear.  Don't judge until you've tried it.
